Balfron 10k

2007 race

The 2007 Balfron 10k was held on Sunday 22^nd April 2007 at 11:00am. It was a road race run on a mixture of quiet country roads and footpaths. The stunning views and undulating nature of many of the roads around Balfron provided for an enjoyable (but tough) run for beginners whilst still challenging the most experienced competitors. "Wow, what can I say? The organisation was brilliant, the atmosphere electric and the course demanding! Ran the course with my "running husband" who joked and chatted the whole 10k whilst I and others around him wished he'd be quiet! No really, thanks to his eternal optimism we had a great race and finished on a high sprinting the last few hundred yards up the hill to the finishing line, hand in hand as has become our custom! The sunshine and the joie de vie of our fellow runners made this a very enjoyable Sunday morning run and we look forward to competing again next year. Thanks again, Balfron."
